"We sold our home in Kailua in May of this year when we decided to move back to the mainland. Our agent team was Mary and Chris Beddow, and we would like to relate to you the absolutely positive experience we had with them.
Our experience with Mary and Chris began in February of 2001 when we bought our home at 243 Awakea Road in Kailua. As you know, being a first time home buyer in Hawaii with a mainland point of reference requires a bit of education on the part of the home buyer. Mary and Chris were wonderful in this role, and their understanding of our needs resulted in finding the "right" house for us.
When we decided to move back to the mainland in June of 2005, frankly, we initially thought that based on the hot market in Kailua we could forego the realtor and sell the property ourselves. Based on our busy work schedules, young children and other requirements associated with major relocation we reconsidered that decision and asked Mary and Chris to handle the sale of our home. It is fortunate for us that we did so. Although we felt we had a good handle on home prices in the market, we quickly found that we would have listed the property far under the eventual sale price...by about $300,000 !
Mary and Chris brought the complete package, and made a potentially stress filled situation as smooth as possible. Their experience, constant analysis and reevauation of the market, suggestions on house presentation, landscape improvements to enhance curb appeal, and their personal involvement in the litany of things required to sell a home made the whole evolution not only bearable, but financially rewarding for us. For us, the real estate agent commission was well worth it not only for alleviating our personal angst, but more importantly for overlall return on our investment as well. Most importantly, Mary and Chris bring sincere personable touch to their business; it makes it so easy to work with them !
While we are now firmly back in place back in our home in North Carolina, we know that if the future ever takes us back to Hawaii, Mary and Chris will be our choice to find us another home."
